Oyster Restoration Project 2010

The following are video clipped movies of dives in Buzzards Bay and Cape Cod Bay, Massachusetts; experimenting in the placement of Oysters on subtidal man-made structures.  The purpose of this first deployment in August 2010 is to assess adherence and predation of the placed oysters.  Additionally oysters were bagged into 4 protective lobster pots and controls.  Future efforts will examine spat settlement and population establishment for improving water quality and ecological productivity.
